Do any Camaros fit into a SCCA racing catagory?
Getting my racing license this year and either want to set up my ss 1le or get a v6 or turbo 4 1le and take it racing. Anyone have any idea where any of those can race with proper mods? Thanks!

Depends on what you want to do. They certainly fit into a SCCA Solo (autoX) category, and that is by far the most accessible motorsport. As far as a racing license and time trials or wheel to wheel racing is concerned, I think when I looked at it, the touring categories made the most sense. I think one of the considerations for a wheel to wheel racecar though may be how mad you'll be if someone bumps you... or you bump someone. It looked like the SCCA was revamping the time trials categories and roles too be more accessible and to have more events but I haven't kept up.

The SS 1LE is very competitive in the S2 (stock class) for Time Trials road racing at the SCCA.
https://timetrials.scca.com/ https://timetrials.scca.com/pages/classmycar A racing license isn't necessary to start. They'll put you on a "Novice Permit" and after 4 events you can apply for a Time Trial License.
