Any comments about insurance coverage of this type of event?

i say theyll keep an incredibley close eye on the drivers making sure that if someone gets too close then theyll slow it all down and put the driver somewhere else..i was under the impression that we would be getting a timed solo run around the track. just what i thought when i heard it..so youre telling me that a bunch of us will just be excorted around the track by a pace car more or less..im still coming but im kinda sad now that i cant just hammer down around the track and see what time my car gets..i kinda figured though cause it would be dangerous..LOL..someone would push too hard and "wreck" the whole event for everyone..LOL.

not being mean but the insurance question is why most companies dont do anything like this cause people that are about to lose their cars or need money will come and get hurt on purpose just for the insurance payout..but thats with any event, yet with cars its more of a liability. people suck anymore..LOL.

wow my driveway is curvier than that course..LOL..but seriously the mountain road that goes to the supermarket where i live makes that look like a landing stripe for commercial airplanes..LOL. west virginia drivers eat road for breakfast..LOL

PrimaDonna - The NASCAR track is down the road a few miles from this roadcourse. It is very close. You might get the "farthest distance award" if you can make it.
so far it looks like i may be one of the furthest thats coming..from west virginia. unless some body from west coast comes..damn long drive..i love it..going to indiana tomorrow to trade my LT front end to a camaro5 member for his SS front, so i can have the mail slot..LOL. that way i can test the car on a long trip. soo comfortable..ive drove tons of camaros this is by far the most relaxing one.

[QUOTE=Maybe some Camaros from different states can hook up and caravan together?[/QUOTE]

thats a great idea, all of the most northern people should meet up with us middle states and then so on that way we run on the interstate together and freak everyone out..so if anyone is interested in meeting up state by state and all driving together then we need to make a thread about two weeks before the event and figure out when and where to meet everyone else for a drive together..hope you guys like going fast cause i have a radar detector so I ROLL OUT!!!

Any ATL area peeps want to meet up somewhere and head that way, let me know. This time I won't forget it's in central time and have to sit at the gate for an hour

Also, I *highly* suggest everyone get at least a small video camera to tape your runs. I kick myself for not getting one. If not to make your buddies jealous, but to critique your lines for the next time you get to go.

I'm in D.C. and I'm fairly certain there are a couple from NY, NJ, PA, and DE coming... I suggested we all meet and caravan down, but I've heard no responses yet.

I just watched the video of "LITTLE Talladga", and I have to say, I'm disappointed.

What's the top speed on this track, like 85 MPH? It's definitely not what I had pictured in my mind. I'm really looking to open my baby up, and not test the brakes.

Feel free to flame me, but I can't justify the 14 hour drive down there when I'll end up going faster on the highway on the drive down TO the track than ON the track.

If you can get us on the BIG Talledega so I can REALLY test my car, I'd be there.

Thanks for the offer though!

Fastest I hit on little tally was 90ish mph on the front straight 80ish on the back and I guess you'd call it side straight, you'll never hit 4th gear (actually you can keep in in 3rd the whole track just fine). Brakes will get very hot, I could have cooked dinner on my wheels. However, I am amazed at how good the stock brakes are. I generally started braking before the first cone, but I could have waited a second or two more. Did not notice any fade or anything that made me go OH SH*T!

And believe me, 90 was fast enough to get adrenaline pumping something fierce.
