Steering modes dont change immediately?

When I change from sport to touring in the options, it doesn't seem to change right away? What could be the issue. I will have it in sport mode, but the car feels light like it was in touring.

How long is the delay you're experiencing? Steering mode changes are pretty instant on my pre-refresh 2018.

Some days it will pretty quick, but today, it remained light, and effortless feeling even in sport mode. It's aggravating when this happens.

Ah, I see. If it does work intermittently, and the drive mode itself does switch over every time but not the steering, I suspect it may be a software issue and I'd visit the dealership to check for updates. Hopefully your car is still under bumper-to-bumper.

Make sure you haven't separately set the steering to Touring.

Steering, suspension (if equipped) and exhaust (if equipped) modes can be changed independently of the overall drive mode the car is in. If someone does that, the mode in question will stay locked regardless of what drive mode you set with the button in the center console.

Check Settings > Drive Mode > Steering, here is a screenshot from the 2016-2018 infotainment, the 2019+ should have similar options. When the mode is set to "Auto", steering changes with the drive mode, otherwise it's fixed to whatever other setting one chooses here.

(With that said, since you didn't know this, you either accidentally touched the setting, someone else drove the car and changed it, or this isn't the cause of your problem.)

Thanks so much, I think I have found a solution. I just did a factory reset to my settings. I think that fixed it.
