5 months later...

My car blew up about 5 months ago and it is finally almost alive. We went with a LME 416 stroker, LME ported heads, LME custom spec boost cam, Full bolt on, D1SC procharger which we later decided to upgrade to F1a (D1SC for sale in members classified), and a alky control methanol system. Hoping to do the fuel system to run e85 on boost soon as soon as my wallet stops crying.

Drop a valve? What CAM and what fuel were you running (must've had a LOT of lift)? That's pretty shredded, I'd like to see what the head looked like too. OUCH MAN

Those new pistons look like jewelry! NICE

Is it / was it a warranty case?

Many other of his threads focus on various issues with the three different 6th gens he's owned over the years and questions about modding. In all fairness the first car may have had some of the more common early production issues. It's his car(s), his insurance premiums to pay, and his wallet -- but maybe it's time to stop pushing these cars so hard.

Appreciate you doing your research but do not appreciate the assumptions. First car had issues from the start as apparent in the threads most of which have dozens of replies with people saying they are experiencing the same thing. Accident was actually ruled city’s fault not mine and I was not speeding and I have the papers to prove it. The engine however is my fault because I was flooring the car when it happened. I built my car and have a strong “it will break and I will fix it” mentality. I do maintain my cars, I do go to the track and I am definitely not a speed racer on the street. This incident in fact happened at 6400 rpm which is what my redline was set at, nothing the car shouldn’t be able to handle since that’s lower rpm than stock. Anyways thank you for your research but your assumptions are simply false.

No research needed really, your posts just tend to stand out in my memory for some reason. Anyway, glad to hear you're taking good care of the car.
