I was telling a younger co-worker that my 1995 Mustang GT had only 215 hp, and he was in disbelief. He said no, wasn't it more like 300? But from about 1985 to the late 90s, the Mustang GT only had about that much power. When the Gen 4 Camaro debuted with 275, that seemed awesome! In 1983, I think the fastest sports sedan (back when sedans were very popular) was the BMW 533i with a rip-snorting 181 hp!

"The frustrating thing on this Mustang was that the AdvanceTrac—the stability control—has a little bit of a mind of its own. We were able to turn it off, but half a lap later, it comes back in. It's very interesting. It was actually trying to cover for that entry oversteer that I was feeling. It's like it's learning, then it starts sticking its nose in my business. And the rear's just not hooked up. I just feel like this is another example of a chassis-dynamics guy who likes a little bit of oversteer. I think that keeps it from being perfect."

This car was thoroughly and specifically tested, by Ford engineers and their factory race car drivers, at various tracks. The idea of the car is stated to be a level beyond the PP1 and to give Mustang buyers a much higher level of corning capability and enjoyment. This sounds completely counter-intuitive to that. The car should have had a diff cooler, in the least in my opinion, but this is something else. Come on...
The funny thing is that the 2013/14 GT Track Pack Mustangs all came equipped with engine oil, transmission oil and Diff coolers. Why don't the current PP Mustang GTs have them as standard equipment?

The '13/14 Mustang GT Track Package had trans and diff coolers? That's news to me. Any links to where you got this info?

Because Ford has said, very publicly and loudly, that the tinkle cars (oops, PP cars) are not designed for the track.

And instead they want you to buy a more expensive gt350 as they still have 2017s on the lots
