Best Tires for Camaro SS?

Looking to swap out my current stock GoodYear Eagle F1 tires on the car as they're about to run bald, wanted a excellent replacement for them, preferably something better for performance-use but also street-legal as well.

Any suggestions on what would be best or should I just stick with the same brand/measurement of tires that came with the car in stock condition on the new tires too?

EDIT: If it helps, I'm driving the car around in California which hardly ever rains.

PS4S, grip for days and if they come anywhere near 30,000 claimed tire life.. that's GOLD!

I just put a set of Toyo Proxes S on mine. Very happy with the price and ride quality. I am not going to track my car anytime soon so a longer tread life is a must for me.

MPSS and MPS4S for street use. Best combination of dry grip, wet grip and tread life.

MPSS is superseded by the MPS4S.

The stock tires put down some pretty good #s in all the magazine tests. Is there evidence the MPS4S tires would put down significantly better #s? I certainly don't want to change and end up downgrading!
