I recommend you get a good weather app or go on Twitter and follow and turn on notifications for your local storm chasers, they tweet all the time about the weather over here in TX, I'd also just close the car up completely at night regardless, I've realized open windows are just an invite for sticky fingers to try and get in your nice new car.

I did this like a dope at least 5-6 times in my 5th Gen with both snow and rain, never ended up being an issue.

...not that I suggest testing this repeatedly...

That happened to me about 2 years ago. The passenger seat got wet and my airbag light stayed on for that seat for about 2 weeks until it dried out.

Depending on outside temperature, humidity, whether there is a good breeze etc, running the AC may work better to dry things out...
