LT4 Supercharger lid bolt broke!
Hello,
I was installing weapon x supercharger lid and when I went to put back the bolts one of them broke! I will be ordering new bolts but I’m stuck wondering how am I suppose to get that broken bolt out. If I can’t take it out myself will I be able to drive the car to a shop? |

Buy a bolt extractor kit & hopefully that will do the trick. If not, you’ll have to drill the bolt out & retap the threads. You’ll be fine driving it without that one bolt to a shop if you can’t do the work yourself.

Depends on where it broke, is there a little stem popping out the hole? Of so you should be able to get it of with a crescent wrench. The tourque on those bolts is measured in inch pounds not foot pounds

Depending where the lid bolt broke, you may be able to screw it out from the bottom (through the bottom) or screw it towards the top by hand and pulling out that way.
It happened to me on the passenger side, towards the middle of the lid. I bought an extractor kit just in case. |
