Nitto NT555 G2 315/35r20

As the title states, I am considering going up a size in tires to a 315/35r20. Do any of you guys see me having any issues with this size tire.

I too an curious if anyone has done this setup..I was at Discount Tire today and they even were wondering how this setup would work as their tire setup system said it could work. The tech even asked if anyone on the forum has done this setup! If anyone has done this tire combo with Nitto NT555 G2 - 315/35R/20 for rears please let all know.

I have 315/35/20 nt05r mounted to the stock rim on the back. Car is lowered and I have no issues.

that's pretty unsafe imo. The minimum wheel width for that tire is 10.5"... recommended is 11.0", and maximum is 12.5". Stock SS wheel is 9.5"...

but I guess if it works for you,

I bet it looks mean af with the tire bulge

Would be interested to see how this looks on the stock rim if you could post a pic or two. Thanks!

Sorry but with all the rain here I removed them and put the stock tires back on. The car was lowered with the BMR springs and I did move the wire harness, but there was no rubbing at all.

I dont think anyone questions the rubbing..... it's that they were mounted on a 9.5" wide wheel

Your car is listed as SS 1LE so you have 11" rear wheels that will fit the tire. You may have to move the wire harness for clearance with the inner fender liner.

Factory tires for the 1LE and ZL1 are 285/30r20 at 26.8" diameter in the front and 305/30r20 at 27.2" diameter in the rear. Your bigger issue might be that the 315/35r20 is 28.66" diameter. The traction control might have a problem with a 2" difference in diameter between the factory front tire and your proposed Nitto rear tire. I don't think I would run that combination but maybe you can do more searches in the forum to see what others have done.
