Track Mode also enables to get into the PTM Modes to further dial in the E-LSD settings.

On the road you notice no difference, but as soon as you start sliding around corners on track, it's instantly noticeable. Sport mode allows a little slip (more than assists on), but if you go too far it absolutely snaps you back into line (even if you were still in control)

E-LSD? Electronic Limited slip differential , I’m assuming
That’s not in the ZL1 but only in the 1LE version? |

It’s in both. Unless it’s a convertible.

The E-differential is not included on the convertible. The assumption is that the vert would not be allowed on most tracks since you would need to install a roll bar/cage, therefore, the extra capabilities of the E-diff would not be utilized. The vert also gets a 2.77 ratio rear axle vs. the 2.85 on the coupe with E-diff.
If you are serious about tracking you wouldn't want the extra weight of a vert anyway. However, if it is a street car the top down experience is fantastic.

One more to send love for my ZL1 vert!! I still wish we were able to track them without modifying with an ungodly roll bar. You don't have to push it to the edge to have fun enjoying the car on a track.

I rarely see another ZL1 let alone a convertible. I don’t track so the vert is great. It’s surprisingly well designed, too. Road noise when the top’s up is nearly coupe like, air management when the top’s down is great and the chassis maintains a good level of solidity. There are some noises coming from the top when it’s up (somewhat weather dependent), but not too bad. Agreed, you don’t miss the e-diff during normal driving.
Regarding the OP’s question, the suspension is noticeably stiffer in Track mode. Steering is also noticeably heavier. The muffler valve opens sooner and it crackles more on the overrun. I don’t notice a huge difference in throttle response. The modes are customizable, however. For example, you can select the Tour or Sport suspension setting when in Track mode (or steering and exhaust). |

I don't think the eLSD will fit with the ragtop. I don't think the controller and case will fit with the bracing.
