Haters will hate but I just feel GM missed the target when badging the ILE regardless of which model

Sorry but the brake calliper isn’t what I read when looking at a car.

So to eliminate a lot of questions from locals including motor,I answered them in one location,

My intent was to

A,put it on the right side to offset the SS, but that was worse since the SS is much smaller.

B remove the SS and go for the ZL1 look.

When I put it under the SS it was like two puzzle pieces so it stayed

It’s midnight with headlights blinging it but I dig it

I am not too worried about someone calling it out around here,I have the only one I know of, go easy on me, I like things stock too as a rule

If you're asking for an opinion...Hell no! That looks hideous.. Then again, that's just my opinion, if that's what you're looking for.

As long as you like it that’s all that matters. To me though it make the ss hard to read and the 1le badge is not readable and the staggered uneven stepped look doesn’t look clean in an already awkward spot for a badge ( thanks to gms placement). To me you would want the SS and or the 1LE to stand out thats the point of the badge.

Again if in your heart you like it keep it the way it is as I don’t have to like it because it’s your car

Have to agree, not looking really good there. Better to get the 1LE emblem in that spot.


GM Emblem pros also have SS that is larger and looks better where the bowtie is. More appropriate for SS marque in my opinion.

Haha woke up this morning, uncovered the car and felt like a two dollar hooker was beside me,

It had to go, but after giving it a good detailing today I still am sad it doesn’t have the identity it deserves

I am going to see if licence plate 1SS 1LE is available and that should be sufficient.

Exactly, nice response,and as already said (most don’t read) I wasn’t a fan either.

I bought the emblem from a great forum member here and he only had the one, or I may have replaced the badges on the fenders with them because I am definitely not a fan of those.
