Stabilitrack Indicator in RACE Mode.
Just curious, why does the stabilitrack indicator come on when the PTM is in RACE mode?
I never paid much attention to it and didnt think much of it, but watching laps from my track day it does seem the car may bog a bit at times on the power coming off slower corners, like it does in SPORT 1 where power is limited. Thanks, Last edited by Snakebt6; 10-18-2020 at 08:52 PM. |

Power is still limited in Race mode, just not as intrusive. But it's there.
Best regards, Dave

Yeah, if you watch your video, you'll see it coming on only when you're on the throttle... so it's interpreting that wheel slip may be about to happen based on the throttle input and cornering angles. You looked real smooth on the throttle, and so you may not even have 'felt it' like you would have if you just 'matted the gas pedal'.
Best regards, Dave

Appreciated,
I felt it on one or two of the 50mph corners at the top of the track (Turn 6)..like I was waiting on the car for a split second to accelerate a bit more than it did due to the "bog" when its being limited. You can hear it a little. Not an issue for me at all, and looking at my rear tire tread depth and a few posi marks on the track you wouldn't think they werent being limited for for wheel spin lol. Ive run 1/2 second faster here and think I can probably break a 1:14.5 should I hit my marks and the stars align lol. (I brake a bit conservitavely too as I dont want to overshoot any corners.) But I think its in the car and me. Thanks again. |

If you look at a log in HP Tuners you will likely see TM Advance increase above 0 in these cases causing Timing to be pulled by that same amount.

Yes. The car bogs especially out of low corners in the race modes. That is why in autoX, I run everything full off hitting the button for 7 seconds. No bog at all.

I ran mine in race also and felt like I gave up precious seconds waiting for the power to come back. Next time I will run with everything off also
