people post about mpg so much because the 0-60 mph is faster than it needs to be for the vast majority of drivers. So relatively few people are interested in improving it like they would be if the car was slow like they used to be.

if the car handles and performs very very good from the factory, why would you invest a lot of time to incrementally improve it an imperceptible amount? Your time is best spent elsewhere.

The V6 forum has a max avg mpg of mid 40's.

On a common ~30 mile route I take I usually got ~24 mpg in my STi, just got 28 in the SS 1LE.

It is surprising how good the LT1 can do when just cruising. It really sucks the gas down accelerating though.

My long-term avg is 28. I am amazed at the 30's and up that some have posted. I am a very conservative driver and am quite pleased to get what I am getting now. My driving is about 70% highway and 30% city. It would be nice to get what I got on my MX-5, 32 mpg, but that required 91 or 93 gas, so the cost is better with the Camaro, plus the performance is much better with the Camaro.

BTW, have you noticed how much the instantaneous mpg goes up when the car switches to V4 from V6?

Here's mine! I4 Camaro driving in the rain between Montreal and Quebec.

My overall average since I got the car (never reset the Trip B) is 8.3L/100km which is 28.3mpg. I don't drive that fast and I don't accelerate that hard. My average speed on the highway is generally 105km/h.

Yes of course. Reached that limit 2-3 times since I got the car.

Haha, of course not. It is a km/h cluster, but you can switch it to mph if you want to. The speedo will indicate the right speed in mph but the highest number stays the same cause they are not digital.

There are other things than the old imperial unit system haha.
