They don't have an allocation, yes they're jacking you're around ....you should go for 1100 to 2000 within two weeks if they have an allocation. Time to find a new dealer…or remove some constraint items.

When I placed the order i told them I didn't want it until the snow was gone they could of pushed it aside possibly.

How long does it usually take to build once they start it? What are the constraint items the things I have added on?

I asked when I ordered to and he said my car was the only one on order at the time now I doubt that's the case! Today he tells me one guy has to wait 6 months because of a option he wanted. I said well I wouldn't wait 6 months!

Thing is I'm in no rush now but I would like this by April to May at the latest I've given 12g down already! I still have my 350Z I was going to take it out of storage and to them. But looks like I will be rocking it a bit longer.

You better play hardball with your dealer and tell him your gonna walk.
They are assigning march build dates already

Call Tony Ladas at New Roads Chevrolet in Newmarket.
See what he can do for you. They have a White 2SS in the showroom...maybe a deal for you is waiting

I sent my dealership a big email being polite but telling them of my concern about the 1100 status!

Basically told him I would like to know why it has not changed in almost 2 months and that I would not wait past my 12 to 16 weeks I was told on December 31st so let's see what they say. And I was actually polite I own a business so I'm not one for going all out but I would like a answer to why I'm pushed off I'm sure not everyone hands 12000 dollars over with out a car.

Yeah there are dealers with immediate build allocations that can get things moving. Budds in burlington for example.

Got it sorted out today will be accepted March 10th and should go into production in April deliver end of April or May which is fine winter will be over! So I'm told...

But should be good they promised after that I'm out!

I wouldn't accept that, after waiting 2 months with NO movemet, how do you know they're not blowing smoke, did they give you proof?

Keep close tabs on them; dealerships are like insurance companies and banks...they're a dime a dozen. If they don't come through move on to someone who will.

I learned the hard way with my experience with my C7 waiting months for it to even be accepted by the factory. If it wasn't for the fact that I was price protected, I would have walked away from the whole deal, months prior.

If it does not show up by the end of the 16 weeks then I will withdraw my deposit and drive where I have to for I can get what I want!

two weeks after march 10th, if it is not at code 2000, then you walk.....not in 16 weeks.

Unfortunately the truth seems that Canada dealers don't have allocation from GM and it's something they don't obviously want to publicly admit. We're in March of 2016 and car was released in Oct 2015 (maybe 6 months) and there are currently 15 new fully loaded cars advertised on Autotrader in GTA. Watching that production video makes me think all of these cars rolling off the line are staying in the US since Canada exchange rate isn't profitable for them. Would be nice if GM was up front and said only x cars are going to canada. Saying nothing implies that you can go to GM and buy one if you want.
