Are the 1LE wheels welded ?

Are the wheels two pieces and welded or is it one piece of aluminum and then machined ? The aftermarket rims are two pieces aren't they ? Is that why our wheels are 1,000 bucks ?

1le wheels are forged (from one piece), they are stronger than aftermarket cast wheels.

The wheels retail for $2500 for a complete set.

Forging (Heat & Pressure) produces a Much Stronger (and usually lighter) than other wheels

Without going into the details, my dealer ordered a brand new set for me. The first 2 GM delived right away, the third rim took a week, the 4th took nearly 2 months to arrive. My car was in storage, so I didn't care, but finding these rims brand new in boxes is pretty challenging in the recent months. With that said, people who want 2500 for their used crap can pound sand. I get why they ask the price they do, but I wouldn't spend that on used rims. I'm pretty sure I'll get a PM or 2 about my old rims, but let me answer that question. I don't have them, turned them in on a warranty swap
