Is this what I think it is???
Hoping someone will tell me these belong here but, I’m sure what I’m looking at is wheel weights???
Neatly stuck on top of the front brembo. Ok...let the banter begin.

A quick fix by the dealers for brake squeal on the early 2010s.
Later 2010s and '11s have the roller skates. I think they redesigned the calipers for 2012+.

Holy crap, this is weird.
I just had my new tires mounted this past Friday. The technician asked me 'Why the hell do you have wheel weights on your front calipers?' I told him I had no idea, they were there before I owned the car. He said he had never seen that before. Anyhow, I will probably remove mine once I repaint them. The red G2 is starting to chip in some areas, so I will pull the weights off and finally paint under them.

I’m trying to run it through my head on exactly how this quiets things down. Then I think, what’s the difference. I’ll just leave ‘em be.

Weird indeed. It's somewhat similar to dampeners used on driveshafts and such but that looks like a redneck fix to me. I posted the weird disks hanging off the Brembo pads yesterday - that just happened to cut my TPMS valve stems. (on aftermarket MRR rims)

that's crazy... learn something new every day. I had to run out and look at my '10 to see what I had going on. mine must be a later '10 its got the roller skates.

Hehe...makes the “wheel weights” fairly practical, when you think about it.
