LOL! I thought so. I was a teenager in the mid 70s. Lots of folks think cars from that Era are worth more than they really are.

Picked up a set of gloss black door handle covers from American Muscle. I test fit them this morning and they fit pretty good. However, I not sure I really like them, even though the fit my black and blue theme. I was hoping I would really like them, but the don't really knock my socks off. What do others think?

For now I've decided against the black door handle covers. I'm just not feeling them on my car.

Glad you came to that conclusion. Your ride is already sweet. The black handles look weird even with your tastefully done blue/black scheme.

Me too. Thanks for the compliments. I generally know when I like something on my car, but I just wasn't sure about the door handle covers on my car until I tried them.

Just passed 3,000 miles over the weekend. Not bad for a weekend car. Still haven't had the car for a year yet.

It's nice that you can drive it. I bought my car the day before Thanksgiving, and was able to drive it for a couple of weeks before harsher weather came and I had to put it away for the winter. I'm itching to drive it again, and can't wait for decent weather so I can do a paint correction and ceramic coating.

It is. I don't know how you guys that live in colder climates stand it. I'd be going crazy if I couldn't drive my cars for several months at a time during the winter. There are probably just a handful of weekends each year that I can't drive mine because of the weather.

Welp. I'm sorry if I encouraged a purchase that you ended up not sticking with. My bad haha. And to make it worse....after seeing it on your car I don't know if I still like the idea either

However, I may have a 22 2ss 1LE heading my way I ended up finding a Vivid Orange Metallic that I just couldn't pass up. I am pumped!

Thanks for inspiring me through your journal!

Don't worry about it. I wouldn't have purchased the door handle covers unless I thought I would like them. They just didn't look like I thought the would in person on the car.

The 2SS 1LE is a great car. I like Vivid Orange on the 1LE too. Hopefully it will work out for you. The 1LE is such a blast.

Glad my journal has inspired you. Other members journals have inspired me. The collective knowledge and experience is what makes car forums so helpful.

Happy anniversary to me and my 1LE. I picked up my car from the dealership one year ago today, February19, 2022. My son went with me to pick up the car and we enjoyed the 12 hour round trip. To celebrate I'm going take her out for a drive this morning.

Congrats Isn't it amazing how fast time flies and how good this car is? Mine is exactly one month away from her 5th anniversary, by the way.

Thanks! It is amazing how time flies and how good this car is. Although I've owned a C6, I've been a Z owner for years and was all set to buy the new Z when it came out. Because of all the delays I decided to pull the trigger on a 1LE. I've wanted one since they came out. Best car purchase I've ever made. Now I have completely lost interest in the new Z. It's funny because I never really liked my C6 all that much, but the Camaro is a such a better car than the C6 Corvette ever was.

Your 5th will be here before you know it. That says a lot about the car that you've had for five years and your still enjoying it.

Congratulations ZPirate on your 1 year anniversary and to you too arpad_m. Yesterday I celebrated two weeks of owning mine. Simply put, our cars are fantastic to drive. When I drive her she has manners, is nimble, and tame until you unleash the beast. I love driving this car better than my old BMW 530i and that car was nearly perfect.
