Imo all LT engines need at least the LT5 unit.

Can you share some of your mods,? I am getting a 2021 LT1 with the 10 speed auto and will be doing some tweaking. I do a lot of small stuff most do not do. I realize what you have done is much more serious. BTW, do these cars respond to converter changes, or rear gear, I want a car that will launch at least a 60 ft time in the 1.80s. thanks in advance Don

Yeah I posted them in the LT2 thread. It’s very much the combo that has been suggested on the forum, it’s full weight with the swaybar etc on the car minus back seat right now.
Especially if you’re an auto, look on Prays posts here and Facebook.

Yeah I heard that thank you. So the early shift points in the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift cannot be changed right?, can some of the torque management be tuned out? , if I shift the car in manual mode , should I be able to get closer to redline in the lower gears for 1/4 mile max effort. I would like to run 11.9's or even 11.8s in good air and that should require at 60 ft in the 1.80's . I am thinking a dyno tune for e85, borla mid pipe that eliminates the secondary unmonitored cats, cold air intake, 180 degree stat, already have a solar perf. 91 mm throttle body , remove the front sway bar and possibly a muffler change.

Some of the trans behavior can be addressed in the ECU side. Virtual torque and minimum spark make a significant difference in how the trans shifts. You won't be able to change when the trans shifts, or make the needed adjustments for a different torque converter.

Yes you have to live with the trans and thats why I always liked my 16 SS as it was the only year you didn't have to mess with unlocking the TCU. Best year. The more power you make with the A10 the less traction you'll have. Its just that 1st gear is so low its hard to hook, especially with a PD blower. All the Zl1 guys fight to much power at the track, even with a good drag radial. Much is in the tuning (too much timing is a 60ft killer) but still is a factor.
