I was looking at building a iron block 6.6 and one or the smartest engine guys I know was pushing me toward stock lt4 heads. My goal was 1500rwhp.

I might have another issue, the cam I have was ground for a big Procharger and now it's twin turbo. I figured it would be ok bit now reading it might not be. It only has 5 in of vacuum at idle and not sure if it's the huge cam or a leak somewhere. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk |

If that's the case I'm definitely in for those also. I saw in that vid Choda posted on your thread that CSP liked aftermarket but he may have been referring to LT1 not LT4. Too long to watch again lol. I was going to do PRC after seeing that.

I just looked up the combustion chamber on the LT4 head and it's 65 versus 59, that would drop my compression under 10 since my motor was built to be 10:5 to 1 with a 59cc and I don't want it to be that low.

My BMR engine mounts showed up. They look like nice. Everything else has been ordered or has shipping delays. This kinda sucks because I took two weeks off and wanted to assemble the motor and install it before the new year and back into work. I did some cleaning and reorganizing in the shop. Put the car in the air and pulled the inner fender so I could get to the turbo easier. While the motor is out, I'm going to do some extra heat protection on my wiring and ac lines. Do any of you know a specific company that makes turbo blankets for t4 Tial SS VBand housings? Or does the standard t4 4 bolt housing blankets work fine? Might be looking to unload some extras I have sitting around: VR1100 LT4 short block VR1100 Stage 2 cam LT1 heads with BTR 660 springs/retainers ARP head studs ARP main studs Or bundle them all up for a package deal, if anyone here is interested, let me know.

Not much to update. Been waiting on parts and heat wrap. They are slowly showing up. Got my new cam installed, test fitted the BMR engine mounts and some misc changes to clean up the turbo feed/drain and valley cover.

Oil drain updated. Hoping that this change to an fitting and lowering the end point 4 inches will allow me to not use the pump I bought.
Damnit all of my pics are upside down for some reason.

Motion raceworks breather setup to help reduce the amount of oil being pushed into the catch can. Previously I had open -10 fittings on the covers w no baffling.

I have to use my lt1 valley cover because I’m using the lt1 Camaro intake. The Lt4 valley cover is a bit different and hits the bottom of the manifold.
I cut off all the dod crap from the bottom and plugged the oil port that used to feed them. Drilled and tapped the oil pressure port. Now it’s 3/8 npt. I use this for my turbo feed so I have an 3/8 to -3AN elbow ordered. I also had to mill it down 2.5 mm to fit this mock up fitting under the manifold. Ordered Mighty Mouse quick connect fittings for the intake port and valley cover port to help clean it up by removing the hose clamps.

The BMRs are for sure. You have more room for headers, lines or whatever you need. I loved mine plus your weight will be less then the hydraulic filled stock mounts. I think I weighed mine and it saved about 18 lbs. off the front end.
