Value tire options?? 17 1LT

I'm in So Cal, and looking for a set of tires for my daily 17 1LT, and want to track it 1 - 2 times a year. I got about 16000 miles out of the Goodyear AS3's with two track sessions on them and regular aggressive driving.

I don't want to break the bank and think I want a tire with warranty so when I go through them at 15000 miles or whatever maybe they still have some value left in them.

I've read some of these tire posts and know you guys know quite a bit about the tires fill me in and steer me in the right direction! Here are some options..

245/40/20

Delinte D7 40000 Mile warranty $463 installed ?? Big brand

Kumho ECSTA PA51 45000 mile warranty $606 Installed Big brand tire

Kumho ECSTA PA51 no warranty $650 Installed BB tire

General G-MAX AS-05 50000 mile warranty $811 BB tire (heard good things)

Toyo PROXES 4 50000 mile warranty $910 BB tire

Are the PA51's worth a $200 savings from the Toyos or Generals or spend the 800?

Any other tire ideas? Damn these tires are expensive!

Any info is appreciated

Thanks guys!

The General G-Max is the new hotness for performance A/S.
Neck and neck with the previous champ BFG Comp2 A/S but about $100 cheaper a set.

Get the Generals.

If you have an America's Tire close by, print off the price from Tirerack and they'll price match.

I got the General AS-05's and first impressions are...

More body/tire roll than the stock goodyear runflat AS3's and car doesn't feel as solidly planted... definitely different driving/handling characteristics. They sure do hook up and respond well, just different. Will need to get used to them.

Missing my solid feeling runflats!

I currently have the AS-05 and it's so far been good to me. It's got less grip on the twisties and tight turns compared to the runflats. Stand still never tested. General driving it's great and feels better when cruising around. Perfect for places that may see rain since it handles MILES better than the GoodYears. All in all it's definitely a great choice for an all rounder.

An alternative for SoCal would be the Indy 500s. Budget summer tires with good performance. Since you guys hardly see rai (correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't seem worthwhile to get all seasons unless if there's plans to go up north from time to time.

I don't like the ECSTA from having had the ASX many years ago, would flat spot just from sitting over nite and take a few miles before they'd stop thumping.

If you don'[t have to worry about temps so much I suggest the Indy 500, I ran those on my Mustang GT and was quite pleased with them. I mean if you don't need the temp range of an A/S just got with a summer tire. Though I'd be very skeptical that any of those tire mileage warranties are going to be honored at the end of the day.
