Remote start question

i used remote start while having breakfast when it was -8 the other day. but lot of good that did for the inside I had the heat turned on but i found out with remote start it don't heat the inside the fan only blows cold air WTH. After you start it from the inside then the heat comes on.
i put the heat on before i shut it off the night before. nothing else goes on either until you start it from the inside infotainment center is black, dash doesn't light up.
is this normal?

I don't think that's normal. How long did you leave it idling? Could it be that maybe the engine didn't reach the proper temp to allow for full heat? I'd imagine at -8 it could be a bit before the heat works at all.

The heat and rear defroster should come on, as well as heated seats if you have them. That being said, it does take a while to warm up at -8!

True...IF you have the setting to turn these on with remote start enabled in the vehicle settings screen!

Check your settings...!

it wont start to put out heat or turn on the fans until the coolant is hot enough to put out heat. the heater was on just it doesnt light up until you hit the start button. My Silverado need all of 10 min to get it going in single digits.

So that's different, I will see if I can turn on the heated seats from setting, currently mind do not come on with the remote start.

it's in the setting to set up what comes on when you remote start. Default on my car when purchased was everything was off. I have to set Heat/AC or Vent/Heated seat when remote started.
