I used a Chevrolet body shop to conduct $15,000 worth of repairs after an accident involving a furry animal with a white puffy tail....

The car had to be brought back 8 times...EIGHT!!! Because they left countless things undone, or poorly done...such as missing upper radiator mounts, a super-glued air box latch, and poorly aligned hood-to-bumper.

I attempted to use the adjustments built into the car to fix it myself before returning again...and I couldn't. I concluded that the hood latch was improperly tightened down, holding the hood too low. It was fine when I bought it new, so unless they removed the latch (which they shouldn't have needed to), the bracket on the replacement hood was just a fraction of an inch shorter.

Nevertheless, I brought it back to have them do this - and they told me the latch does not adjust. Their solution was to pull the bumper and realign... There was no realigning to be done by pulling the fascia...the screws are right there on the shroud panel!

Anyways - moral of the story is: dealers, more specifically, the low-salary little-training body techs they use to do these minor repairs...don't know what they're doing. It's kinda sad.

you should see the new mustangs. Mine was so bad that took me 1 day to adjust everything. Quality control at ford is a joke.

Adjusting the hood bumpers may also be needed to align it perfect.

My 2016 was off and this is how I fixed mine.

This is a minor issue and do not let it spoil the car......
Has anyone tried this yet on their own?

I wouldn't try it only because if you touch it they won't warranty it .

My hood too has this issue and the body shop that the dealer that I bought my Camaro from told the salesman that they would have to take the front end of the car off to adjust it. I told the salesman hell no I wouldn't go that route. I did see that adjustment with the 2 screws mentioned above but decided I could live with mine as it doesn't look that bad and no one I show it to notices it without me pointing it out to them.
