It shouldn't. I have the GM gears 3rd party installed because I've yet to go to a Chevy dealer that wasn't full of moronic dipshits. From sales to service and even parts. It lowers my IQ just trying to explain things to these people in at least 5 different locations. Ugh.

My Subaru dealer was the best, but even they've been bought out now so I don't know anymore. Even when we disagreed it was handed professionally and I always left happy. Not so with Chevy.

yes the warranty on your rear end is probably done but not the whole car.

I could see aftermarket parts, but if you are using certified GM parts they would have to prove the installer made a mistake that caused the warranty claim. GM would still have to warranty the parts themselves for 1 year.

If it fails that is all the evidence they need. Make sure the install is correct.(have a professional do the job)
I did 3.91 with tru-trac and its quiet as a church mouse.
