Apple carplay disconnecting randomly

Anybody else have issues where their apple car play would disconnect randomly? I have the original iPhone charger and the USB would be connected but Apple Carplay would random disconnect. The phone is still charging and it would say the phone is connected wirelessly

Sometimes I have noticed in my 2020 if I am trying to use my CarPlay, with the usb cord, my Bluetooth interferes with it if it is turned on on my iPhone. Other than that it might be a bad usb cord that happened to me once when my cord had a short in it

Yup mine has been doing it lately. Out of nowhere the bow tie screen comes up. Has happened a couple times and phone stops working.

I have the same problem however it happens both with and without the cord when using the wireless Carplay. I plan on mentioning it to the dealer at my next oil change.

In the process of trying to figure out why my back up camera will not come on they replaced the radio module under the passenger side dash. The camera still won’t work however this cutting out of CarPlay I use wireless has gone away as I was having that issue when I got within 3 blocks of my house in my residential area. With new module it’s not cutting out anymore so weird.

Did you update your phone lately? If not do it could be a phone thing. Then unconnect your phone from CarPlay and reconnect . Worth a try.

I had the same issue.
The cords I had worked well, then I updated my phone.
Now I only get a reliable experience with a genuine Apple charger.
Big Apple is out to get us all.

I’ve tried two different iPhones (7) and multiple cords. Over half the time it takes several tries to get CarPlay to start. Have to unplug and replug, wait, open and close apps. It always starts charging immediately tho. The map (Google and Apple) is always about 5-10 seconds behind too. I’ve missed many a turn cause of that.
