10,000 miles later and a bunch of track days and I have not had any issues since using the GM locknut with attached rotating washer and torquing using the crowsfoot method. I wound up torquing the hex driver since the crowsfoot can't move much. Also had a helper since there were 2 wrenches involved. After torquing add some witness marks so you can inspect for any movement. Nut is GM # 11548382

That's a pretty good video. Makes it a lot easier if you happen to have it on a lift. You don't need the nord locks if you have the new GM lock nuts

I cannot believe this is still happening on the newer models:((
On my 2018 2SS, both the left and right front bolts came loose.

Hey guys, ran over this whole thread and must be blind. What's the PN for the Nord-Lock washers I need to buy?

Don't need Nord washers with the new nuts GM # 11548382. As shown in post #323 on the right. Get 2 for each side

Hey all. Have clunking on the track when changing direction through turns. Before, I have found the front strut nuts were loose enough that the camber shifted on turns. The alignment guys didn't (or couldn't due to clearance) get them tight enough. I check them for torque after each track event. Not great at 150 mph. Need blue locktite on those. This time will check the sway bar end links.

So just to be clear, the nuts should be replaced on both ends of each end link? That is, the nut that attaches the end link to the strut as well the nut that attaches it to the swaybar are both suspect?

So I understand that the suspension has to be loaded in order to verify this condition, as opposed to jacked up and the wheel hanging? I don't get much noise, minor click that is intermittent but car has a front end push on just about any kind of other than mild cornering that I've been chalking up to this tire and/or the alignment.

If your car is pushing (understeering), then the front swaybar is working too well! This isn't your problem.

That is correct and torque correctly. Also add witness marks after torqueing so you can inspect them quickly for any movement.
