WHAT SPARK PLUGS

I am want to put new plugs in my 2016 SS. The car goes to the drag strip and is driven on the street. Is the OEM AC plug ok or should I use something else?

Unless you are modified in a way which would require a different range plug, either cooler or hotter, the stock plugs are excellent.

OEM plugs are fine unless you have big boost or insane cam.

They also last 60k miles plus.

The car is bone stock except for rear tires and wheels. It has 11K miles but before I got the car it probably never got over 70 mph and idled alot. The next task is changing the plugs. Looks to be a chore but we will get it done. Thanks for the information.

If they only have 11k miles on them, why are you changing them?

Keep the stock ones for you now unless you add boost.

Agreed, totally unnecessary with only 11k miles. These aren't copper plugs from 1960.

You can't even find aftermarket/replacement spark plug wires yet for the lgx and it's 3.5 years old. Starting to think they either think they're lifetime parts or they just want us to buy the V8 parts and have a couple spares or go universal and crimp our own

just dont go down the rabbit hole pseudo-mods like adding space-tech ground straps and other nonsense aimed at people who want to mod their car but are too afraid to do anything that matters because it voids their warranty or is too expensive. Iridium/platinum spark plugs should last you a very long time.

why? no vehicle that is 2016 or newer with average mileage needs new plugs yet if its stock or even mildly modified.
