Cheap good dr
Hey guys, I'm looking for the cheapest somewhat durable rims and tires to hit up the strip at the end of april. I'm full bolt on, and I'm having a terrible time launching my car with 295 ps4's on the back. Does anyone have any for sale or know a good setup? I'm broke atm so cheaper the better, lol.

There are a number of us running 20” Nitto 555R drag radials on the stock SS rear wheels with really good results.

Thanks for responding! Unfortunately, I'm a manual, so I'm looking for maybe a bias ply tire? I'm gonna be on a prepped track and afraid of breaking something.

So get a set of 555r's for the back would be ok? Next question is, how can I find two rear stock rims to buy as I dont want to pull my ps4's off?

If you don't want to remove your PS4, then grab a pair of JMS 17x10 with 305/40/17 Mickey ET street R's.

Would you happen to have a link. I looked on a few websites and I cant find any with a sixth gen as an option. This is all I can find. You are the second person to recommend radials, but all I've ever read is bias ply for manuals, am I missing something?
Supported vehicle applications include; 1994-2018 Ford Mustang, 1994-2002 Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, and 2006-2018 Dodge Charger and Challenger.* |

Those tires are pricey, I'm beginning to think that getting a rear drag setup is out of my budget. Maybe I wont compete at lsfest then and just run test and tune to see what I can get with ps4's, even though they are terrible at launching on the strip.

Last time I was there I just had an axleback, secondary cat delete, and a rotofab, so nothing special, I had around 420 ish hp to the wheels. I'm now around 480 ish, so should be even harder to launch. I experimented last time, started at 30, then 25, 20, and 15. 15 is way too low and feels very floaty at the end of the track. Launched without launch cobtrol, and couldn't do much above 2500 as the tires would spin. Best time I could manage was a 1.89 60' and 12.89 in the quarter, not great I know.
