Mine is on track alignment and it is a daily driver and my tire wear is just fine. So is ride quality.

I just had it realigned to -1.8 up front so we'll see how it goes. I can definitely feel a difference in between the -2.4 setup I had previously. I miss it, but I have to get a little more milage out of these tires... They ain't cheap! |

It is the internet, so I am going to post this:
1. Running these wide tires with very little tread on the street isn't a great idea, especially if you encounter rain. Wear bars are a good indicator for replacement on street driven tires. 2. $1200 for a set of such a capable tires is a relative bargain. I had a 2,000 pound Lotus that would use up a set of R888's in 4,000 miles at the rear, track and street ($900 a set BTW). For a near 4,000 pound car to get such great wear from the tires is great, thank you Goodyear! I use the track alignment on the street and the wear is reasonable. Of course, I picked up two nails in two different tires in less than 6,000 miles ... |

Any update on how the adjustments affected front tire wear?
My tires are wearing on the outter shoulders front and back. Would love your current specs and current wear pattern. I have a 2018 ss 1LE and drive it like I stole it...street driving with a lot of highway. Please let me know Thank you! |

With my bmw 1 series -2degrees camber up front was fine. It looked like your rear tire wear, but a little more of a wear difference from side to side. The front wear you have does seem weird to my eye. The inside is corded, but that inside half has more tread than the outside half. I'd think that means there was excessive toe... but i'm not too familiar with how these tires wear. Anyway, currently i'm trying out DIY alignments for the front, cranking it up to -2.5 camber for the summer and back to stock off season. I put up a DIY. So far i'm happy with it.

FWIW, I track mine one day per year, and otherwise it's a toy for weekends and nice weather. I put about 2500 miles per year on it. I've tracked it twice so far with the factory alignment and really feel no need to go to the track alignment. Still on the original tires after 5000 miles and no uneven wear yet.

Because I love on/off ramps and I drive a decent amount of mountain roads. I am all about handling and ultimate grip. There is added cornering grip to be had from the track alignment.
