AFM Simulator - Headers - CEL
Currently I’m collecting parts for catted header install. Since the car is A8, I’ll lose the AFM valves and bought the AWE AFM simulator bracket. With these brackets I shouldn’t get a CEL.
Here’s my list: Headers Heat tape Motor mounts Exhaust tunnel bracket Coolant SP wires SP socks Zip Ties Are there any other items I need? I don’t want any permanent codes or surprises.

Updated my profile and yeah it’s a 17. Okay I’ll shut those codes off. I thought those AWE plates would’ve at least kept the AFM codes happy. Thanks!

The other codes that need to be taken care of are the emissions codes from removing the stock cats and going with headers. I just recently purchased a 2017 and after finding out how much effort is involved in putting headers on and that you can get permanent CEL codes if you don't do things right, I decided its just not worth doing headers. And I love the sound of the factory exhaust with the NPP system. Now if I were to eventually put a supercharger, I would likely then put a full exhaust at the same time. Good luck with your mods. |

He tuned my E-force supercharged C6 Corvette Grand Sport and did a great job. I have been blown away with how well the LT1 engine responds to headers. Gained significantly above 5000 rpm's. Power and torque are maintained for significantly longer. |

I bet it sounds better with the headers too.
