The problem can occur if the vehicle is asleep (control modules asleep) and you enter the vehicle from the passenger door (perhaps to place something in your vehicle) and then close the door. Certain control modules wake up when you open the passenger door and then start to go back to sleep after you close the door and walk away. If you return and enter through the driver door maybe 1-2 minutes later and start the vehicle everything in the vehicle wakes up. It's a software anomaly when certain modules start to go to sleep and then wake up again. You can probably replicate it if you follow those steps. Happened to me once also.

It will fix itself at the next ignition cycle (if the vehicle goes to sleep).

This happened to me a hand full of times as well. At least now I know how to avoid it

2017 2SS and it has happened to me as well. I was tring to show my friend the setting and I thought I was going crazy when I they were not there.

My engine sounnd management on a 2016 Camaro SS has disappeared again. It randomly disappears and usually comes back in a day or so. No idea why. I know i can change modes with the button but the option to change modes, suspension or engine sound has all disappeared from the touch screen. Any advice?

It just happened to me. Went to the dealership for the transmission oil cooler recall and on my way home I tried changing the light stripes and it didn't worked and then when I wanted to put the engine sound to stealth mode in my garage noticed that option was gone as well. I have to go back to the dealership next week for the same recall issue so will get this to their notice as well.

I got all the latest module updates,etc from dealer last month to.... still happens. They need to get this fixed! Sloppy as heck

There is an entirely new Mylink module being made. New design, new manufacturer, newer software. I know because my car is waiting for a new one to arrive and the dealer has been in touch with the powers to be at GM to get this info. This is why there are none available on the old part number and the new part number hasn't started shipping yet. My car goes in on Jan 2nd and they are hoping the new version arrives. If not they will give me one out of a car on the lot, then when the new design arrives they will swap it in and take the old version back out. This is just to get me working again but they don't want to put the old version back in because they know they are failing too often.

I only have NPP, not MRC.

Whenever this happens to me, it's because I have my phone connected to the USB port in the center console for Android Auto (or Apple Car Play for my work phone). As soon as I disconnect the phone, all settings options are there again (Drive Mode) and I can change the light settings as well.

Interesting...I have an A8 2SS Fiftieth Anniversary edition. I use remote start roughly 95% of the time and can't say that I have seen a correlation. The only time I notice my Drive Mode menu to be missing (or can't change light settings) is when I have my Android phone or iPhone plugged in to the center console USB port. If I disconnect the phone, the menus come back. So far, every time.

I just bought a 2017 impala a week ago and I'm having the same issue... So it's not Camaro specific... I'm taking it to the dealer Saturday to see what the deal is...

I have this issue with the driving mode setting and lighting settings disappearing when I remote start. But also the hvac controls won't show up on the radio. It says if the a.c. is on, but that's the only one that shows up. I'm too lazy to go back through the pages here, but anyone else have the hvac issue with the others.

I've had this happen as well,but only 1 or 2 times.
