275/40R20 on all four corners
I used search and found at least two thread's on point to my question:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=264134 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...dth+oem+wheels My question is that a friend just offered me a brand new set of alloys off of a '12 SS Vert which are identical to what I've currently got on my 2SSRS. They were brand new when pulled with zero road rash (he bought a '12 with 4000 miles! Consequently I can replace my front wheels with these larger 20 x 9 alloys and run Pirelli-PZero 275/40-20's on all four corners. I know from the thread above that folks are doing it, just wanted to make sure there we're no issues as it does sound like 275's on all corners allows you to rotate the tires. Thanks for the help

No issue only improves driving/cornering dynamics

All kind a problems !
The biggest one however is that since then I have to rotate the tires about 5K miles , what a pain , when before that I had nothing to do regarding that , just kept on driving till the wheels came off , ( well , the tires ) Other than that , it's all good |

It's been done by a lot of us. I'm hopping on the bandwagon soon as well, once I wear out my front tires I'll be looking for a rear set of rims to match up with a set of 275 tires. Being able to rotate the tires is also a big plus for me lol

I got the rims today, and am going to mount 275 PZero's all the way around. Too cool, thanks for the reply. This is the same size rubber my Z06 has on the front.
The rims were brand new and a deal at $500 for all 4, they were pulled off when the car was new and put in the boxes of the custom chrome rims that were on the car.

Did this to mine a while back and aside from the stiffer feel in the steering wheel its all good. Amazing difference in the corners and way more overall feel of the car.

i run that setup except with a 10 inch wide zl1 rim. The fronts hold up great but the tail likes to slide out a little too much, could use a slightly wider tire in the rear

IMO...275 sq on a oe 20x9 is the best bang for buck mod you can make to an SS. It won't be 1LE quick but it'll be far closer to neutral. Although...personally I'd go with a conti dw or mich pss over the p0s.
