1le magneride improvements over the years?

I am looking to purchase an ss 1le and am trying to narrow down the differences between the years. I like the styling of the 17/18 years but willing to put that aside if there are considerable upgrades to the 19+. Did the magneride suspension get upgrades through out the life cycles or is it the same as the 17?

I have wondered this too. I’ve heard guys complain about a dead spot or throttle lag at initial throttle opening on the earlier cars (like 2017/18)… I thought my 2022 M6 manual felt very crisp but I’ve never driven an earlier year for comparison. Maybe someone else can provide more insight.

Magnetic ride control did not receive any updates except for a specific optional drag strip calibration. The engine tune was revised slightly with every model year, sometimes tangibly (search for "pops and crackles in 2019+ Camaro", heh), but MRC remained the same original 3.0 version. Its new and improved 4.0 incarnation is Cadillac only, never made it to the Camaro as far as I know.

My 2018 had a dead spot in the throttle. It most often occurred when lifting off the throttle and then immediately re-applying the throttle. Think slowing down to take a left turn across traffic and then making a sudden decision to go for it. That dead spot was downright dangerous.

My 2022 has excellent throttle response and I have not once seen any dead spots.

Interesting so is this a throttle tuning thing? Can an aftermarket tune fix this?
