Update - I was able to get my order submitted with the dealership. I am currently #2 in line at my dealer for a 2SS. Order rep says that they've been able to get 2SS's recently, so I am cautiously optimistic.

Thanks everyone for the BCD copper free brakes recommendation, I ended up adding that to my order as it seems like a great value for only +$500 extra.

I have a workbench order #, and confirmed all the options including BCD copper free brakes...Now the wait begins..

One question i have is - Do chevy dealerships receive updated allocations weekly on Thursdays? Monthly? Bi-weekly? Asking bc my dealer said that they didn't receive any allocations this week, next chance will be on 7/27..

Thanks

Interesting, I wonder why my dealership skipped next week in terms of a possible chance to receive an allocation then

2SS isn’t really worth it imo. 1le 1ss already unlocks tons of goodies like HUD, alcanatara seats, etc. I live in cali so might depend where you live. Visibility and blind spots isn’t an issue. Rear camera tbh heard has issues and works off/on and is tougher getting adjusted to. More electronics means issues tbh. Also 1ss 1le quicker to get too cus not on constraint

I would change the exterior color to riptide blue as riverside blue has been on a 4 year run.

Thought about the new riptide blue, but riverside just looks so damn good IMO. My other car is a boost blue Civic Type R, which looks closer to Riptide, so I wanted to change it up a little..

Also, looks like the new MY24 colors are constrained as of now, so in terms odds actually getting my order filled, probably best I went with riverside?

BTW - originally was dead seat on shadow grey, but learned that it was discontinued for 2024.

Quick update - Just got the great news that my order was accepted by GM! Believe that puts me at status 2000, but the dealership didn't specify. They said that they'd circle back with an ETA once they receive a TPW. Chevy online chat is now also stating that my order has been accepted.

To all that are still waiting, hang in there!
