KONG PORTED BLOWER + 103mm TB ???

Hey Team,

Can i get some feedback from anyone who has ported their blower and port-matched the snout to match a NW 103mm?

CSP has the service and TB for around $2k... seems like a great value?

1. Curious on the drive-ability change and power gains?
2. Curious on how many people did the swap themselves?

I picked up ~115 hp on 100 oct. w/LT4X ported blower and NW103 over OEM SC/TB and haven't seen any drivability issues. But it's not a DD.

Driveability is not bad, and a good tuner can adjust it to where its like oem or better in the case of the bog. Paid $1500 for my porting, included griptech pulley, and new isolator. I've compared pictures of their work to the standard Kong port and they take quite a bit more material out. As well

Couldn't really quantify power gains because I did my first round of mods all at once. But the 103mm tb pairs well with a ported blower and 5" intake to give the most airflow. However, know the more airflow coming in is going to limit your ethanol content if that matters to you

No, Chapman Auto did this latest work.

Kong LT4X ported blower and NW103 TB on top of an HPE850

MAD, modern airflow dynamics in Houston Texas. They're also gonna be doing my heads, and port matching them to the supercharger. They do great work in my experience

Kong has multiple ports for the blower. The best one he offers is the X. There is several companies that port blowers. Synergy, Kong, Jokerz and MAD to name a few.

Thanks for the feedback guys... For my understanding... no boost increase is needed correct? The porting (more volume) and larger TB as all that is needed?

Seems like a smaller upper pulley would make sense to upgrade at the same time, but I would worry about excess heat...

Are you guys all swapping pulleys at the same time or leaving stock?
Not sure if that would render E85 useless, as far as running out of fuel?

I have a standard Kong ported blower, about a year old, that I am looking to trade for a stock lt4 blower plus a little cash. I’ll be posting it for sale later tonight.

My car has a 2.3 upper and 9.1 lower. You will see gains without changing pullies, but you will leave alot of power behind.

I'm on a ati 8.6 lower, stock size 2.5 griptech upper pulley.12.5-14 psi depending on weather. Ported blower in itself will increase boost even if you don't change pullies. I'm also running anywhere from 20-30% ethanol safely depending on boost
