Limp mode @ 5K miles :(
Decided to take the Camaro today since it was over 40 degrees for once, and on the way home the car goes into limp mode at a stop light.
It wouldn't move at all, so I power cycled the car a couple times and finally managed to get it to accelerate and drive at reduced power. Got home OK, and put it on the scanner . . . 3 codes related to cam/crankshaft position (P0010, P0016, P2089) and a body code (B2AAA). I guess there's a dealer visit in my future. :( |

Just a CAI, otherwise stock.
Did an oil change < 1,000 miles ago, along with changing the rear diff fluid (before winter, as it's been stored since November other than the very few days it's been nice out). It's been fine up 'til today. I don't even really get on it . . . no smokey burnouts, no launches, etc. I drive a bit spirited, but not abusive. Guessing it's just a camshaft position sensor or something. Hope so anyway. |

Woah, so it is an actual mechanical failure of camshaft/piston or is it a sensor/electrical error? Hopefully the latter or GM will be getting you a new Engine...
If it's not already too late GET THAT CAI OFF juuuuust in case they try to start some BS. |

The new one didn't appear to have any issues, but I took the car on a trip with the family in fall and didn't want to risk anything happening, so I put the stock one back on. Was going to put the ported one back on when the weather warms up and I start driving it (nearly) every day. Last edited by Dethsupp0rt; 04-10-2018 at 07:35 PM. |

I didn't plan on it, but it may not be a bad idea.

Defo take off the CAI - not even worth the risk.
As long as you weren't tuned for it should be fine

Most likely a sensor or loose wire. Have you tried removing the ground wire from the battery to see if the code will clear? Worth a shot
