purchase, need help and advice quick!
Was given an offer for a 2020 v6 camaro with all the options i want. at a price i can afford. there is not another camaro like it within 1000 miles. It even has the dual mode exhaust..question...the car is brand new and has about 125 miles on it, so should i go for it or not? The car was at another dealer and the first customer said no who ordered it because of a job loss....but this car do you think it is ok to purchase it? I would imagine with the v6 dual mode exhaust (automatic as well) i'm sure either a salesman or a potential buyer has probably driven it hard or fast, but i'm not really sure. The dealer is in another state and its not right down the road either, so any advice? I have bought 3-4 brand new cars in my life, some with 4-9 miles on it, but never 125...well, any advice? The car is rally green so i cant order one for 2021....

Obviously you need to see the car in person.
The 125 miles... I would ask for an explanation. May have just been driven from one dealer to another as part of an exchange. |

Are they offering a really good deal? My SS had 96 miles on it when I bought it "new", but the deal I got was less than most of the used ones that I could find. It was at a dealer in a small town, and the salesman said it was used in a few parades.

I purchased my 2017 convertible new with just over 100 miles on it back in September of the same year. Technically a leftover at that point but I couldn't pass up the price and it was exactly what I wanted and at a dealership 2 miles away. I wasn't thrilled that it had that kind of mileage on it but beggars can't be choosers! I checked it over as best I could and everything seemed fine. Also the V6 and I have had zero problems with it (hope I didn't just jinx myself with the warranty ending soon... ).
There are services that will look over a car for you (for a price) if you are genually concerned but obviously engine internals and things like that can't be checked. Maybe spring for an extended warranty? I was lucky that it was so close to home... Hope this was helpful and good luck! |

Look at it in person. The warranty won’t be affected so you won’t be shorted the 125 miles , one of the cars I bought had 120 when I got it and it was fine, no issues. If it’s the right car at the right price, jump on it

What trim level and what makes it so unique that there aren't any others like it around?

My Silverado was a leftover and had a little over 100 miles on it. Been great, no issues. Wouldn't deter me to go see it and drive it and make up my mind. Trust your instincts, isn't your 1st rodeo and make a decision. Don't fall into paralysis by analysis.

While we all prefer to buy a new car with 4 mi on it, 125 is nothing. V6 probably hasn’t been abused. I always buy no options which helps avoid this but if you must have this config, then I wouldn’t worry about 125mi.

My only advice would be to see it in person and test drive it to confirm its good. Also, I would test drive the 2.0t and the V8 as well if you have not already. I did, and was very glad I waited and saved more for the V8. Lastly, make sure you will be happy without the limited slip diffential, only v8 automatic camaros have limited slip diffential, and all the manual versions of course.

125 miles is nothing to be concerned about. If you want it then I see no reason not to buy it if it has everything you are looking for.

If you want the car go ahead and buy it. With 125 miles I highly doubt it was in an accident or there is anything wrong with it. Still check the carfax. Most of us drive our cars hard, thats why we bought a 6th gen Camaro. They were built for hard driving. Its still got 3 years bumper to bumper warranty. You're good to go.

If it's the car you want and the price is fair, buy it! Unless somebody else already has.
