I'm a pretty big whore for General Tires. I run the GMax AS-05. Also good is the BFG Comp-2 A/S. I drive my car year round and the winter gets sort of icy and sometimes snowy here in BCS.

Nothing wrong with them, just better options out there now. The NT555G2 are a pretty old tire.

Loving my Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's. Have put about 5000-6000 miles on them. If I were in a pinch for money (like I usually am when tires surprise me), I would have gone with the Firestones.

Doesn't change the fact that they're really a middle of the road tire.

how are the firestones in the cold / wet winter weather (well, texas 30's winter)? seems like firestone puts that it a "summer" tire on all the websites i have read.

Its ill advised to run any summer tire in to the 30s temps.

Anyone know how many miles the Michelin P4S last and is it worth pulling the trigger and going for their top model Sport Cup 2 tires or they won't be compatible with the Camaro?

Those are two different class of tires.
Warranty on P4S is 30k miles but since our tires are staggered that warranty drops to 15k. If you’re asking about tire life then why would you consider the Cup 2? There’s some sizes of the Cup 2 that will fit.

Which would you go with for ultimate performance if tire-life or cost wasn't much of a concern? |

In my experience with sports cars the all seasons wear just as fast if not faster due to the compound not designed for sports car use. I had Conti DWS and only got ~30k miles out of them, I had Pilot Super Sports and I also got about ~30k miles out of them and the PSS was a much better tire all around in my use. |
