Do you bother looking at your SPEEDOMETER?

EDIT: With my 2LS, I forgot HUD exists. If you use your HUD, vote as if it's the DIC...as the poll is more about whether or not the speedometer is used when there are digital (Arabic numeral) displays.

95% of the time, my DIC is used to display my current speed. The other 5% is when I want to check something, then it's back to the current speed display.

Also, where my steering wheel is set, it blocks the top of my DIC (just above the speed readout, blocking my turn signals), and blocks the tops of my analog speedometer, and my tachometer.

I realized the other day, I only ever look at my DIC and tachometer, and if my speedometer stopped working I might not notice right away. It's just so much easier to glance at the DIC, where your eyes fall to one exact spot, instead of looking to see where on the speedometer the dial is sitting.

I guess you must not have a HUD. I'm always looking at the speed on my HUD.

I drive with my left hand on the top of the wheel, so my left arm completely blocks my view of the analog speedo.

I primarily use the DIC (no HUD here) to set the cruise control, and then seldom look back at speed. That being said, it is almost always set on speed unless I am checking tire pressures. It is a rare occasion that I look at the speedo.

I spend most of my driving time sitting in rush hour traffic, so checking my speed just makes me more depressed than I already am.

I heard the new DICs are colored. Apparently once you try that style you'll never go back?

Speedometer for speed, D.I.C for fuel range.

I'm all about that HUD. If I had the more clearly defined color HUD, I'd probably use the HUD tach more as well, but I still go to the actual gauge for that at high rpm.
