Problem solved......get the V6 for the time you're in Canada, and get the SS for the time you're in Florida.

The use and enjoyment you get out of driving a car has worth. Are you going to get the same enjoyment out of both cars? Let's say the V8 depreciates quicker (which is unlikely), will you pick the V6 for just that reason?

Now I'm not implying you won't get the same enjoyment out of the V6, but if you're considering the V8, then you're probably after the power aspect as well.

Thats a great ideal
I just think a v6 stick is not as sale worthy as the V8
Gas costs are not a factor as I sont drive that much
My 2010 vette only haa 24000 miles on it

If the only thing you're worried about is enjoyment -- SS wins hands down. The V6 is plenty of fun don't get me wrong but the SS is truly a performance car and the V6 is a sporty DD.

If you care about other things like fuel mileage -- that changes things. People SAY they get 30+ MPG on their SS..and some probably do...but don't go buying one EXPECTING that, its one of those things where you may get that and its great if you do but this car is NOT designed for fuel efficiency. My SS gets between 18 and 25 MPG with a MAXIMUM of 28 MPG cruise control set to 75 MPH on flat interstate. My 1LT V6 got around 35 MPG same conditions and as high as 47 MPG in extremely favorable conditions. They are apples and oranges...the V6 will always out perform the SS in fuel efficiency where the SS will outperform the V6 in the thrill factor.

Keeping ANY car for only 2 years is silly, unless it’s a ‘62 Ferrari GTO. You dont get your money’s worth minus depreciation until you’ve owned it about 5 years.
