The DWS 06 Plus is an all-season tire while, the PS4S is a summer tire, so they don't compare directly. The PS4S has an A/S variant, too, it's in the same quality ballpark as these Contis (and similarly there is the ExtremeContact Sport that compares favorably to the PS4S, too), but apples should be compared to apples.

I was thinking if I lived in Indy in January I would not want the summer tire .

I ran the Continental DSW06+ on my Scatpack. Ran 315s all around. They were a really nice tire. I drive my Camaro 3-4 times a week. If weather is really bad it stays in garage. I can get a decent deal on the All Season Continentals or the All Season Michelin Pilots. I don’t really need a summer only tire. People say the ride quality with non run flats is much nicer than the Stock Run flats. Just not sure it’s truly worth switching the tires yet. I haven’t had any issues yet with the run flats but then again I haven’t had my car very long or driven in nasty weather. They seem to stick pretty well once they heat up some. Tough call.

I ran my run flats out at 28 k and got non run flat summers. The car drives way better. 1.3 degree negative camber on front gives better front grip in corners. I don't have a problem with rear grip , v6.

Non-runflats ride better and are typically much quieter, at least the PS4S and the ECS definitely are. If you're okay with the performance of your stock tires, though, IMO they aren't worth ditching for non-runflats while still very much serviceable.

In my specific case, I found the stock Goodyear runflats so bad in wet and rainy weather, especially under 65 degrees, that I just wasn't willing to live with them any longer. One can easily get surprised by downpours around here, even if the weather is fine when leaving the garage.

Assuming this will be your only set of tires (i.e. you won't have a separate set of winter tires), then either of these would be a great choice. They are the two best performance all-seasons out there right now. I believe the PS4S AS is a little better on snow and ice and the DWS06+ is a little better in the dry and wet, but review the Tire Rack comparison test to make sure I'm remembering correctly (be sure to check their charts for dry/wet as well as ice/snow, which are two different pages). I have no experience with the OE Goodyears, so I can't give you good advice as to whether you should stick it out with them for longer or not. I do agree that either of the above tires will ride better than the runflat OE tires, though.

I went ahead and ordered a set of the PS4 A/S.
