Since Hawaii has one of the most suckiest roads and no place to race or track, this is a no go. ZL1 it is.

Or, I can just move.

Team Camaro just dropped the mic on the performance car scene. Racecar with luxury features for the price of the average Cayman. And the best part? Chevy won't limit the production of it. And you know Chevy Dealers won't have $15,000 markups like Ford dealers.
MT will still find a way to justify GT350R is better...something something about it sounding more "visceral" and other bullshit.

We do the same in the ZL1 we have and while the GF now has the SS, my ZL1 is still technically my only car. The SS is fully in her name (I'm not even on the title anymore).

Some of us can easily afford these cars and just have no interest in a 2nd car. Why would I want to drive around in a POS beater if I have a nice car? That's just wasted money on parts, repairs, insurance, the price of the car itself, parking space (you get charged places near me or are restricted to 1 free one), etc.
Corvette grand sport and ZL1 are not completely track focused as this car. This one will be a very rough riding and unforgiving dd.

According to to Dictonary.com;

Visceral: "characterized by or dealing with coarse or base emotions; earthy; crude"

Have also DD 30way adjustable coilovers (on full hard), with solid cradle bushings, HD mount bushings on steering linkage, with stiff setting sways front/rear, etc. along with stiff bushings everywhere else that was readily upgradeable.

I know what a rough ride is like. Some of us don't mind, some of us do.

The more a car is suited to the race track the less it is suited to DDing. When the costs of competitive W2W racing (in CamaroMustangChallenge) pushed me back to HPDEs I built a 98 Camaro 1le into a track car with a 402 LS2 and a great suspension setup. What had been a fun DDer with great power became a chore to drive on the street. To uncomfortable to pour myself into the Recaro drivers seat over the roll bar with a suit on. Too harsh given that there was only metal to metal contact at most suspension points. Way to noisy at all times. Operating a Spec 3 clutch in a traffic jam was brutal. Got lots of teen agers giving me thumbs up but I soon parked it on the trailer and now it is running HPDEs up in Washington State while I drive my fun and comfortable 16 Z06 with great GM NVH and GM OEM power. I encourage anyone to drive a great track car on the street at some point in their life but I am past that point.

If the ride is anything like the 5th Gen Z/28 it won't be a bad daily driver. I recently drove one and thought it rode somewhat normal. If you have lots of potholes and such, then it would probably jostle you, but if you have decent roads then I say why not.

Great article. The only thing 5hat I though was funny is on the specs it say front engine, rear wheel drive, 5, yes 5 passenger 2 door coupe. I'd like to see five people get into this car. Lol.
