This from R&T....
"Lapping with everything shut off is like bondage without a safe word. It’s not that you can’t trust the 1LE, but it’s easy to dial up trouble from that supercharged V8. Too much engine at any point sends the tail wagging. Provided you didn’t do anything too stupid, the Goodyears promptly return you to the safe side of the limit. But an unchecked and poorly driven 1LE can be an unforgiving master. " Just a thought for those that have little experience on the track and decide to make this car your entry point. |

Also...
Road and Track, Motor Trend, Auto __________, etc. Pick one. They're all about "driver's cars". Not track cars. They're reviewing a ZL1 1LE, then ten minutes later jumping into a Navigator, then a Sonata in the afternoon. They're looking at the car from a perspective of the average consumer.

But you'll feel pebbles in the road. Therefore, it's a shitty driver's car.

The ZL1 is amazing. Trust me, we Corvette guys are not too happy, but the ZL1 has upstaged the Corvette.

Or is it bc of the ring time or the fact they did it at a much lesser cost |

The new Z06 is a huge disappointment. It has overheating problems. And GM could not get a ring time because of said overheating. On the street, the ZL1 is just as fast. Notice how the new ZR1 has a more open front for cooling. GM knows they dropped the ball with the Z06.
