I went back to the track and tried a couple different launch combinations, including using the launch control feature. Best time was 12.6 @ 112.5 with a 60' of 2.13s.

The 60' still seems terrible compared to what others are reporting!

The best launch seemed to be going to 2500rpm, dumping the clutch and letting it bog, and when the clutch pedal was almost fully released, then increase accelerator pedal. Increase pedal too soon and there's too much spin and 60' is even worse. Feel free to critique this approach.

I just need to perfect the launch and should be within the magazine times (12.3-12.5)!

One other thing, tires are at specified pressure (35psi) and no burn-out. I want to get the best time possible without lowering the tire pressure or doing a burnout.

Do you remember what settings you used. Although mine will be used mostly for turns I plan on going to drag strip some since we have a track here.

I was thinking track with it in race mode and the suspension set to touring may net the best results. In race the launch control is in a specific drag strip mode Rather than standard launch control.

Forget any track ptm mode for drag racing it interferes to much on launch. Try either sport competitive mode or track mode with t/c off. I usually do sport but track is not bad because pedal is less sensitive and seems to give me better feedback of what tires are doing traction wise.

I have only tracked mine once. Made three passes using LC and just dumping the clutch. The thing I noticed the most was wheel hop. All three times I had to let off and then get back in it because the wheel hop was so bad. I dont remember my 60' times, but all ETs were around 12.6-12.7. I was scared of the wheel hop because in my 5th Gen I snapped an axle using LC after two times at the track and a total of 7 passes. I have tried LC on the street. On the street it works well, limiting wheel spin but still giving you good power. I would like to get back to the track and try more clutch techniques but it was my first time so I just wanted to have some fun.

Just made my first 6 passes last night at Cecil County MD. 2017 SS 6MT, details of my best pass are below.

I used LC on every pass which yielded 2.186 to 1.980 60ft times. This was in track mode & competitive mode. Mild 3-5 second 1st gear burnout, and rolled out of it, with NLS chirping when grabbing 2nd and 3rd.

As far as clutch release from what i can recall it was slower to start and more progressive till full engagement. With the better tires, it felt like it could actually use more RPM than the 4k the LC sets you up for.

Great stock run (in my book). But those tires put you on the bolt-on list. I got some low 1.9 60's just with TC off. I have had mixed results with LC, in some ways better, but then a bog near the line. I suspect it pulls a little timing to preserve the drive train.

Wow! Great time and mph!

What kind of ambient temp was it?

Launch control seemed to give me more like 2.2 type 60', so I stopped using it.

Yeah, being it was my first time at the track with the car I figured using LC would give me a consistent launch. Still clutch release plays a big part in using LC, its nice it gives a consistent RPM. First time down the track with a manual car, so much FUN!

Unfortunately it looks like the tires do put me in the bolt-on list, eh whatever. But with those tires I felt like the car wanted more RPM, just felt sluggish right out of the gate, but if I gave it too much clutch I got some wheel hop, which I want to avoid! haha. So i figure more RPM to maybe push thru the clutch alittle more.

It was certainly a cool night, upper 50's. My first 2 passes with LC yeilded 2.2 & 2.1 60ft times, just saying.
