I would like a 4 cylinder turbo or better if i can afford. But the first "mod" i would perform is pulling a fuse/turn off the exhaust noises through the speakers.
You don't need to pull a fuse. Just turn it off through the DIC.

True. But pulling the fuse is the act of a rebel and if I am anything, a rebel I am.

Talk about a punch in the gut.
You read my post wrong. The 4 banger uses Active noise control (ANC), also known as noise cancellation, or active noise reduction (ANR) to reduce unwanted sound by the addition of a second sound specifically designed to cancel the first.

My daily driver is a Focus ST and it has what Ford calls the "Sound Symposer." I think it's funny that it has the word poser buried in there. Anyway it's not that noticeable but you can tell it's fake. I wish I had the option to turn it off. I'm not a fan of this trend of enhancing the sound of the engine through the audio system.

No I haven't pulled mine I like the way it sounds as it is but I do know the video you're referring to. I put on the ford racing exhaust pretty much immediately so I don't really remember how mine sounds stock. Here's a video I made of mine, you'll need headphones to hear the bass tones. I think it sounds great for a T4, I think a lot of ppl will opt for the V8/V6 purely for the sound but it's not necessary to me

I still don't think a stock exhaust could ever hit the spot for a true enthusiast, it all depends on just how good it sounds. No one has any real world videos of the ss yet, but I highly doubt it's comparable to the Stainless Steel Works and the Borlas and the Corsas that we all know and love.
You might can tell I'm still in my 20's, I like em loud with no drone! Loud idle, loud under a load, but a quiet cruising speed. I want the whole world to know I got a small block Chevrolet! Loud and proud!

This video demonstrates the sound. It doesn't sound anything like the videos I've taken inside my cab. I actually like this sound a lot.

You are hearing the sound bounce off concrete walls. Probably would sound even louder in a tunnel.

From what I have read on the 6th gen the dual mode exhaust will be tunable from full track mode to stealth mode... Something impossible with a aftermarket exhaust. Sometimes you need to sneak in late at night to keep from waking the whole neighborhood...
