ZL1-1LE AP Racing Brakes For Sale - Front & Rear
Hello everyone,
I am selling a near brand new set of front and rear AP Racing brake kits for the ZLE. They came off of a 2021 model, only have 200-300 miles - were mainly used for testing. Still in immaculate condition (see photos) These are the NEW (9668) kit with the 390mm front disk and (9450) rear 365mm disk. Comes with full set of Ferrodo pads front & rear. In excellent condition. Including the hats. Its a plug N play setup, ready to go for all you brake loving enthusiasts. Paid over 13.5k for the complete set. Sadly, my car and I will be parting ways. I'm looking to sell these to someone who knows and appreciates AP Racing. Have original manuals, paperwork, boxes, etc.. I'm in socal - willing to deliver for a fee (fuel & time) Asking: $10,499 - that's more than 20% less than what I paid. I'd love to answer your questions. Serious buyers only please. Thank You Last edited by Real1LE; 05-10-2021 at 03:55 PM. |

That's some great brake porn...
I've heard ppl discuss reaching the limits of the ZLE brakes, but I also know that the person who drove a ZLE as fast or faster than anyone used OEM pads. I've found the the brakes on my ZLE using Brembo Racing fluid, either with OEM pads or especially with Ferodo DS 1.11 pads, to be extraordinary. Never faded, I dont really worry about braking too late I can always stop. At what point do you need to upgrade, real racing, endurance racing? |

These brakes are amazing. Far superior to the stock set. Pads are 1 inch thick. I have them on my ZLE. No brake fade and amazing performance lap after lap. I would have a noticeable loss due to heat and fade after about 6 laps at Sebring with the OE brakes. With the AP system you get excellent braking from your first lap to the last. These are the brakes that are run by many race teams across many racing disciplines. Very wide selection of pads across many manufacturers. Great price, Good luck with the sale.

I'm not 100% sure. it depends on what pad you're going with. There are a few different ones out there. Its all driver preference.

One of the biggest gains with the AP set is the loss of unspring weight! From the website: "Shaves approximately 18 lbs. of unsprung weight from the nose vs. the OEM SS 1LE brake system, and approximately 28 lbs. vs. the ZL1 1LE brakes." This is huge! Pair these brakes with Apex wheels and the gains are even bigger. |

Are 19" Apex ARC-8 flow formed wheels lighter than OEM ZLE forged? My 18x11, 18x12 Signature wheels are much lighter, removing/installing them is a breeze vs. the OEM ZLE 19s. |
