Drivers Front Wheel Sits out Further
Hey Guys,
I have a 2016 Camaro SS with MRR 1LE Replica Wheels that are 20x10 in the front and 20x11 in the rear and I'm running the factory tire size from the 1LE with Michelin Pilot Super Sports in a 285/30/20 in front and a 305/30/20 in the rear. I recently had Eibach lowering Springs installed at my local Chevy dealer and an alignment done. The drivers from wheel sits out about 1/2" more than the passenger. I had them recheck the alignment and even took it to another shop and redo the alignment and still the same issue. It also sits just over 1/8" higher on the same driver front and 1/8" lower on the drivers rear when compared side to side. I also noticed that the passenger front is getting more sidewall tire contact when performing a u-turn or full steering in a parking lot which is weird as the alignment is identical side to side. I have my alignment set at -1.0 camber in the front with a toe of .05 and a -.9 camber in the rear with a toe of .15. I tired to get the specs between street and track. I am planning on putting the car on the rack at the Chevy dealer to have them loosen all the bolts and let the car settle then re torque as suggested by BMR. They are supplying 6 new torque yield bolts for free this time as I already bought new one when they lowered it. I am hoping this fixes the issue as the cars sub frame seems to be aligned and the car has never had an accident and only has 2000 miles on it. Eibach is going to conference call with the dealer to see if they can figure it out. Sorry for such a long story but I wanted to make sure I was thorough in my explanation before asking, has anybody else experienced this?? Thanks for any help!! |

I installed the BMR lowering springs and the rear left sits a bit lower than the rear right. I suppose the process discribed by the OP will address the issue? I haven't done an alignment yet after installing the springs, so I suppose that this has to be done before doing an alignment?

Is it just me or is the torque values for the rear not showing up i.e. blank? "Rear (where there is rubber)"
