Just wanted to make my first post in the ZL1 section.

I have a 23' Red Hot ZL1 Convertible coming.

Currently at Code 3400, TPW is week of September 19th

Auto transmission, with every conceivable option checked off. Wind screen, all red accents, Carbon Fiber Hood insert, Battery Charger, indoor cover etc etc..

I sold my 2002 Showcar SS and my 2021 LT1.

Will be a huge upgrade for sure and super excited.

Any recommendations or major things to look out for on the ZL1?

I'll be racin' ya to the dealership. My ordered ZL1 is in the same position as yours. Just not all of the boxes checked. Had I placed the order originally, I'd have added additional options but good with it as is.

Make sure the air is properly bled from the supercharger intercooler circuit. Make sure the dealer removes the front suspension spacers. Get Xpel or similar quality PPF on the entire front end/hood and in front/behind of the rear tires, and the side mirrors.

I do not have ELSD now so I am not sure I will know/realize its not there. I am aware of the slightly different gear ratio as well. For a street cruiser convertible, it will be awesome.!

I would have been OK without some of the options I am getting....Battery Charger for example...I have 4 Noco's sitting around the garage already!
This was an intercepted order that the dealer already placed months ago.
Fortunately it checked most of the options I did want. I would have been fine with a coupe too and a MN6.

Now my wife can take it for a spin being the A10 if she wants...and if I let her..

Sounds like a fun upgrade. I have been thinking of doing something similar. I have a 1998 SS 1LE which is very rare but the darn ZL1 is tempting. How is the market for selling the 4th gen SS Camaro?

With your car being pretty rare it may command a few more dollars to someone who knows what they are getting..


I posted my ad on autotrader in canada
I originally was asking 22,000
Sat for a month with no bites.....
Dropped the price to 18,000 I had 1 guy call me, never called back.

I then dropped the price to 15,000 and the offers started coming in.

My SS had T-tops, showroom condition shine and 89,000 Kms...
At the end of the day it's a 20 year old car with 350HP and unfortunately, all I could get was 15,000, also its the end of the season which did not help the price.

I could have probably got more next spring, but with the ZL1 on the way, I could not wait that long.

Sorry to hear about selling the SS Jay. I’m shocked it didn’t get more interest. Mind you, I believe tough times are coming for a lot of people with more interest rate hikes and what not. Therefore, a lot of people are holding onto their money for now.
Man I’m happy for you. You’re gonna love the Z especially with the top down. These things rip even stock.

Not sure how they do it, but Jim Wilson in Orillia again. These guys snap their fingers and get allocation....

Jason & Scotty, I stumbled on this thread.

Ordered through Wilson-Niblett in Richmond Hill.

I originally ordered through Wills in Grimsby, but when they told me that they've had a customer waiting for a ZL1 since 2021, I canceled and went to Wil-Nib.

They are the largest Corvette dealer in Ontario, so I'm hoping they snag an allocation for a '23.
