Current wheel Powder coat pricing!!

Hi, I was gonna take in my 1LE reps/M017 and have them powder coated. I will take them in with no tires mounted which I assume will cut down cost. Just curious what everyone is paying for all 4 with center caps and lug nuts if they do that? I’m in metro Detroit area so I was thinking Detroit Wheel and tire maybe? Good reviews. Going to do a 1LE/OEM graphite color most likely. Thanks y’all

In June, I paid $120 each / $480 for four wheels. In July, I paid $95 each for two (my wife received an "I can't drive" discount). This was for the bare wheels, no caps (can't do plastic) and I purchased after market black lug nuts.

Awesome thanks much! I was hoping for around 100. $120 is fair. Wonder what everyone’s doing with the center caps for matching the charcoal or graphite? Is everyone just doing the black centers? I have black lug nuts that came with the wheels but the finish was cheap and is wearing off/rusty a little.

I see your in Michigan if you don’t mind me asking where did you get them done? 260.00 is super good! I messaged Detroit where and tire but haven’t heard back yet.

Not super worried about the price as long as it’s within reason but just want quality work and service etc..

Detroit wheel and tire are quoting $165 Per wheel dropped off with no tires on them. So much for the discount for taking them in ready to go haha!

It was a place in Milford, but don't remember the name at the moment. I see you're going with Detroit wheel, otherwise I'd try and dig the name up. It was normally $320 for four 20" wheels, but they were running a special at that time

Gotcha, yea thats like half what Detroit wheel is charging. I might have to do a little more shopping around before I pull the trigger.

It really depends. On the powder you want to use, is it special order or off the shelf. Are you coating them after, how much prep work needs done. I am having mine down right now with coating for $525 plus $100 to have the rubber off then on, balanced and relearn the TPM. And I am having the plastic center caps done, he does them in the oven at low temp. I have black lugs but I think after I will put the chrome OEMs back on.

Yea not sure. All they said was 165 per wheel and done in 4-5 days. I emailed them asking a couple questions but no response yet. When you say coating afterwards you talking ceramic coat? Or? That’s cool he does the centers. I’m not to worried about those but it would be nice. I was hoping some members from Michigan had some good hookups for me but I’m not getting to many options. probably just keep doing research for a bit.

The wheels are like brand new no flaws at all so no prep work. And then I figured since I would just take the wheels in without tires that would save me some money but didn’t seem to help much on the price. I’ll prob just have to stop at a few places and talk to them in person. Didn’t realize there were so many things that could effect the price.

place local to me will fix anything wrong with the rim (curbed, bent, etc), powdercoat with color of your choice, and ceramic coat, with lifetime warranty, for $750 for 4

I'm not sure of just refinish costs
