Nurburgring Video with 2017 Camaro ZL1 and 1LE - Supercharger Confirmed

Here's a new video with all the cars. The ZL1 is definitely supercharged.

Yes awesome video. Good to know that for sure this will probably be the supercharged ZL1. Gonna be a beast!

Sounds so good at 1:56. Definitely Supercharged. I may have to save my pennies for a more extreme version than the SS.

I think it's safe to say that since they put the C7 Stingray engine into the 6th Gen SS, it's only obvious that the C7 ZO6 supercharged engine will make it's way into the ZL1. Personally, I'm attracted to and admire more "naturally aspirated" high hp engines.

By using similar engines in two different cars, GM may also look at the cost savings of not having to produce multiple high hp engines for the cars.

I just hope that GM doesn't shoot themselves in the foot, again, and over price the ZL1 and/or any Z/28 that may or may not surface in the future, like they did with the 5th Gen Z and the Corvette ZR1 from years past. Not many of those cars sold like GM anticipated, and anyone who has one (dealer or personal) can't seem to find buyers for them now.

Time will tell and only GM knows for sure, as this is just my observations based on what I've seen so far.

Please GM -- don't make this car too expensive.

1) It's kind of shady how they had a car waiting outside the ring who immediately began tailing the Camaro when it entered public roads, but good or us at least so we can see close-ups

2) I am sort of digging how the camo on this car breaks up the tail lights into quad lamps again. I really wish that was the stock layout.

I am also glad that this puts to rest all the people who were arguing that this car with the new hood was a z/28. It makes more sense for them to stagger the releases, and the ZL1 is in a bigger need for a refresh right now.

Not shady at all, these guys make a living with spy photos and video. There are a handful of them like this one who do an amazing job

I listened with headphone and there is no doubt it's a supercharged automatic. The sound is sublime

I thought the same about the rear. The tails broken up look great. Now imagine those slanted to follow the design of the actual 16 lights, would look great.

Hoping aftermarket will have a solution for it

I don't think they would have roll bars in a zl1... Would they?? Check this image, it has roll bars... Just like my renders...

They are actually the same lights from the SS, they just added an odd pilar covering where they angle up. At 4:34 you can see the right side at an angle and see they are not new.

GM puts roll bars in all the cars they test on the ring for safety. All the 5th gen test cars had them.
