The convertible doesn’t have the eSLD so no performance traction management (PTM) modes. Not a huge deal since you stated you weren’t going to track the car.

You lose a large portion of the trunk when the top is down. The canvas top requires extra maintenance.

Many after-market parts don’t fit the convertible. Especially third-party exhausts because of the extra bracing on the convertible.

Having a top gives the ZL1 a much stiffer ride

Now I say all this as someone who loves top-down driving so I fully understand why someone would want the convertible. I just wanted to point out that there are some significant caveats to the convertible over the coupe.

Even if you do track it, the Non-1LE won't disappoint. It's just not as quick around a track.

For sure, any ZL1 is a track monster. Anyone less than a highly skilled driver will never be able to extract every bit of performance out of the ZL1 anyway on the track.

Thank you all for your responses. They help a lot. I'm still trying to decide which route I want to go. I think I have decided against a convertible. Is low $60s a decent price for a 2021 1LE with 50k plus miles or a 2020 with a little over 20k miles? I like the 2021 more but the miles concern me.

I would suggest base ZL1 coupe. As others have said; newest, low miles that you can afford. Hendrick has a few good choices available that are near SC.

Well, I called the dealer about the new 2023 ZL1 and was told that it has been sold. I'm starting to think that they purposely leave on their site at a very good price just to get people to call about it and they try to sell them something else.

I guess my search will continue.

Never trust the websites. 90% of whats out there on the websites are sold and are just "pending". Like you said, they show its available to get your contact info and then they keep trying to sell you what they have that is actually available. Any car you find that peaks your interest reach out right away and see if its available or not.

I love the convertible, I had a had top auto 2022 before my M6 vert 2022 and for me the top down is worth the compromise. Coming from hellcat wide body reg and redeye and mustangs the convertible option with 650 factory hp is a great package. This is my first vert but I am sold. Could be that I crossed over 45 as well

I thought about a convertible. It would be nice to feel the wind blowing through my hair but, unfortunately, I don't have any.

I am close to making a deal on a 2022 with the 1LE option. It has less than 10k miles.

You should test drive it on your home town streets, some grow tired of the more rigid suspension as a cruiser.

I understand that. I won't put many miles on it. The price is just a little over what people are asking for comparable non 1LE cars. It also has PDR
